Small 12 qt. Coleman cooler (3000000540) works in RV, works plugged into ac adaptor. Doesn't work plugged into 12 volt in my car or my brother-inlaw's car. Phones do charge in these same outlets.
I traded my 2008 CRV in (never had a problem with that). I now have a 2014 CRV and this seems to be the beginning of problems. Can it have to do with amps or something?

Could be that the 12 volts circuits in your cars are not supplying enough amperage for unit to operate . Low amp items will work but the hungry ones will not.

Isn't that the power cord for a Coleman 40 qt Powerchill Thermoelectric Cooler? Without the proper equipment, you take a chance of over-charging and blowing up your battery as it would be a direct current with nothing to regulate it and no needles to let you know how much of a charge it has. Why not catch a ride down to AutoZone and buy a NOCO/180 mAh 12 Volt solar battery charger (that's right, solar power charger) for less than $25? It comes with 8' of cable and suction cups to mount it on the car while it charges with sun light. Neat little things for sure. I own two.
You do not want to convert anything to a 220 v connection !!!! Your RV is 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC. Use a 30amp female to 15 amp male adapter to plug in to regular household receptacle on generator. Available at hardware store and RV stores.
You're probably out of luck. Coolers are relatively inexpensive, so they don't usually make drain plugs. I broke mine off and the best solution was a shaved down wine cork. I put it on the inside and it worked great. Use the newer plastic style and it will hold up forever. Good luck Alley
Sound like you have the newer version. These fans can be found at Radio Shack or anywhere computer parts are sold. It doesnt have to be an exact replacement. Just big enough to fit over the Cooling fins. Also make sure it's a 12 volt motor
