Sound like you have the newer version. These fans can be found at Radio Shack or anywhere computer parts are sold. It doesnt have to be an exact replacement. Just big enough to fit over the Cooling fins. Also make sure it's a 12 volt motor

You can pay upwards of $25 for a motor from Radio Shack. Staples sells a 3 speed computer fan for less than $10. The problem with these motors is that they are 12 volt 3 amp or so units & most big trucks alternators put out 50 pus amps so it doesn't take long for things to break. If someone could build an adapter that would cut back the amps that would be helpful.

Coleman 12volt Cooler Replacement Motor
Installation is pretty simple with basic wiring tools, crimpers, wire cutters, soldering iron and shrink wrap tubing.

Pelonis model ylrso.7-5v the water does not get cold

cooling fan is not turning. it is a 12 volt fan and can only be bought from the manufacturer. the unit has been discontinued and parts are not available. if you could find the cooling fan, you would have to disassemble the entire unit to replace it and it takes about 3 hours. but it will work again for maybe 6-10 months before it goes out again. the average fan life is 8 months.

Coleman model 5645 inside fan motor not working .. how do you open the cover to get to the fan and motor

pull straight up on the cover. Remove the 4 screws that hold the fan to the heat sink. You can then remove the 2 torx screws and remove the heat sink if you need to. Clip the wires as close to the bad fan as possible so you will have enough for the new fan.

Coleman Electric Cooler doesn't stay cold

the most common problem is that one or both cooling fans has failed. If you have the newer version, you can get replacement fans anywhere computer parts are sold

The 5640 Coleman cooler motor runs, but unit does not cool.

This is a thermoelectric (TE) cooler. There is no gas' to replace in it's cooling system. It is possible the thermoelectric coupler has gone bad. Unfortunately Coleman does not seem to offer a replacement part. If you Google thermoelectric couplers, maybe you can find something on the web. Good Luck.
