If this is a hot surface ignition system, the sensor may also be your igniter.

THE BURNER WONT LIGHT

The failure of the appliance to start at all can be one of the most worrying washer dryer problems. However, this may often just be due to the door not being closed properly. Try opening and closing the door to see if this makes a difference. Otherwise, there is likely to be a fault with the sensor or pressure pad that detects when the door is closed. Try wiping the door and the corresponding latch on the machine with a clean cloth before testing it again. It is also a good idea to check the seal around the door to ensure that it has not sustained any damage.
  1. Before you attempt to fix a furnace that won't start, make sure you know what kind of furnace you have. This ehow is strictly for a forced air, gas furnace. Check to make sure the furnace filter is clean. If not, replace the dirty filter with a clean filter. Also, check to make sure power to the furnace is on. Finally, make sure the gas supply to the furnace is open.
  2. If your furnace clicks on or initiates the start cycle, but does not fire up, you likely have a faulty or dirty ignitor/sensor. This is one of the most common furnace problems. Under normal conditions, the furnace is notified by the thermostat to click on, the ignitor gets red hot and then initiates the entire process of igniting the gas and blowing the hot air. Check the error codes in your furnace user manual to make sure you do not have a more serious problem.
  3. To fix the furnace that won't start, turn off the power to the furnace-and turn off the gas. Remove the front panel and look for the ignitor/sensor. Refer to your user manual to locate the ignitor. It is usually located near where the flames shoot out of the burners.

Lennox Furnace turns on but not heating up house

Might be cutting out on flame optics. Renew the nozzles (jets) and check the igniter for function.

Mod#BLU100K948A The 2 selenoids on top of gas valve click when they open (normal). Sometimes they work fine, sometimes they have a rapid clicking noise and do not open the gas valves. Furnace just runs and...

The first thing to check would be the filters in the house to make sure they are clean, then check for any blockage. One easy way of seeing if the airflow is good, just put your hands in front of a vent and see how its blowing. Your furnace has what you would call sensors, and if they sense the air flow is inaccurate or to hot inside the unit, the unit will run, but not light. Also, if it tries to relight to many times, the furnace will go into lock out and you have to manually reset it by cutting the power to the furnace. Its kinda hard to diagnose these sometimes over the pc, but I hope it helps.

On off cycling, little air flow, little heat

We had the same problem with the same furnace, CODE 32 DISPLAYED ON THE LEDS. I fixed it by cutting the air inlet pipe and using a hair dryer to supply heated combustion air to the furnace. Once I did that it started to run more and more until it finally heated the house up and works fine, so far so good.

We had a severe drop in temps, sunday it was 40 and rain and that night it dropped to -5 I suspect those conditions contributed to the problem. Wife observed this has never occurred before in 14 years of operation.

Install HE220 HoneyWell , humidity not increasing in the house.

You can try installing the water line to your hot water if it is installed on cold line for more humidification. You should make sure your humidistat is up line 6" @least from humidifier for proper humidification measurement.
