SOURCE: wont boot up

This could be that the disc is corrupt. Check it for obvious signs, scratches, miscolloration, etc..., or try a different disc if you have one available.

SOURCE: Gateway MX6030 bios/boot password reset

How long did you leave the battery out?
To discharge the BIOS you need to short out the battery contacts, or disconnect the battery for 1/2+ hours.
If this does not work the it is near impossible to remove because the password would be stored on an EEPROM chip.
Check with Gateway, they might suggest a motherboard replacement just like IBM.

SOURCE: gateway 7410 laptop keeps on turning off after complete boot.

Could very well be that it is getting hot. If the cooling system is plugged, there is no air movement, and this would make the fan speed up as the temp rises. Shut the laptop down, unplug from a/c adaptor, remove battery, and try blowing the cooling system out from the outlet to the fan with a can of air. You might want to stick a paperclip or the like in to stop the fan from spinning.

DO NOT USE AN AIR COMPRESSOR AS THAT AIR IS MOIST.

SOURCE: red light on the front blinks 4 times

Hi,

The 4 blinks are telling you that there is a fault. The same as Computer Bios Beeps.
I,d suggest removing the RAM/Memory, and replacing it. Press and hold the power button for more than 4 seconds, to ensure it isn,t in standby mode. failing this remove the cpu and re-seat it as it may be slightly out of position, or out of it,s socket. finally have a look at the back or underside to see if there is a reset switch/hole.

My Toshiba Laptop can't boot.It keeps on restarting. I have to press F12 for the Laptop to boot win7

Toshiba laptop should come with a Windows media (DVD disc). You can use it to fix this booting problem (it will fix the problem automatically if it boots up using the Windows DVD disc).

Remove top

To me when you state remove the top of a laptop, you are talking about removing the Palm Rest Cover.

With the laptop closed, the top cover is the Display Cover.
This, I suppose, could be considered the 'Top' also.

At any Ol' rate here is the link to a free Service Manual, for the Gateway NV53 series of Notebook PC's.
I think you'll find it crosses directly over, to the Gateway NV52 series of Notebook PC's; which you have one of,

http://www.tim.id.au/blog/tims-laptop-service-manuals/#toc-gateway

Go to the top line - Gateway 400. (400 in blue)
Drop down to the second line, scroll over, and click on the blue -
NV53

Now you can disassemble the Display Assembly, or remove the Palm Rest Cover.

If it is the Palm Rest Cover post back in a Comment.
The reason is I want to give you needed information.
The main one is the Keyboard Cable connector on the motherboard.

IF you break that ZIF connector, you are looking at MOTHERBOARD REPLACEMENT, and why I want to guide you.

(Or any of the other ZIF connectors on the motherboard.
Zero Insertion Force)

The mouse pad will not work. Tried re-installing the program, as well as Fn-F6. Not effective. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

The Tuochpad? Have you tried to reboot the machine? If so try a system restore to a date before the problem, if you haven't tried already.
