SOURCE: Kenmore dryer...How to remove toe panel to clean lint out.

Insert a putty knife into the seam where it meets the front panel about 2 inches in from each side. There is a small retainer clip that you will need top depress in order for the panel to release. If you go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your model number, you can find a helpful illustration under the "Cabinet" heading. The clips I mention are listed as item 46 just ot give you a perspective. I would also strongly recommend that you UNPLUG the dryer before cleaning the interior cabinet. There are live voltages present even with the dryer turned off. Particulary around the heating circuits. I hope you find this information helpful.

SOURCE: how to remove lint tray receiver: maytag dryer model#pye2300ayw

Unplug first with a straight blade screwdriver, pry up on the top of the dryer where the front wall of the dryer and the top meet. there are 2 screws 1 on each side inside the dryer where the sides and front meet, remove them and unhook the wires from the door switch. the whole front will now pull out and up, now open the door remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the door opening and the whole lint tray will pull out. sounds like a lot but only takes about 5 minutes.

SOURCE: Frigidaire electric dryer; model # FDEB34RGS1- gets TOO hot!

I could not find the model number you listed. I also would be very concerned about over heating until we can find and locate the problem. Look inside the door and compare number with the on listed here at Fixya. Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: F @ P DEGX2 lint trap problem

If you are collecting more on the outside of the house means the lint filter has a tear in it and the lint in being pulled through the tear and pushed out the exhaust. It sounds like you need a new filter but this isn't cheap. If you do it your self it will run about $70 if you get a repair man it will cost about $150.

How do you clean filter ?

Good Morning Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

I see that your question is listed under Frigidaire electric dryer and that you are requesting information on how to remove and clean the filter. Generally speaking, dryers have a lint screen/filter. The screen is typically located at the bottom of the door opening. You can remove this by pulling straight up and removing the lint. Then replace the screen/filter. Hope this helps! If you need further assistance or are enquiring about a different appliance or model number please, please feel free to reconnect.

My frigidaire dryer start and a few seconds later an alarm sounds and E68 appears.

Remove your lint filter. Now remove the waffled plastic that covers the lint filter slot. Hint, its inside the dryer, and there's two screws holding it in. Be careful when you pull it out, because there's two wires connected to the metal strip on the bottom edge of it. That metal strip is either the temperature or moisture sensor, I bet. Don't drop the screws into the lint filter slot. If yours is like mine, you'll find that a lot of lint has built up around the contacts for those two wires. Carefully clean all the lint (use soft toothbrush), and reinstall. While you have it opened up, stick your vacuum's crevice tool down inside the lint filter slot and clean up all the lint in there as best you can. Problem solved. I think the build up of lint was shorting the two contacts, and this was screwing up the electronics.

Lint trap doesnt fit in slot completely evenly

Remove the trap and look in the hole and see what is keeping it from going in. If the screen is damaged, replace it.

My Frigidaire Electric Dryer keeps giving an error code

If your dryer is the same or similar to mine (Model AEQ6000ES2) then error E68 is a stuck key on the keypad. This may be mechanically stuck or the membrane contacts. The simple solution is to replace the keypad.
I found this information by searching for "Frigidaire Model AEQ6000ES2"

Lint sticks to the lint cover and lint filter.

Use a degreased such as goo gone, or an aerosol electric parts cleaner/degreaser. It may look gone, but there is still scum built up in those tiny little holes.

Frigidaire dryer, lots of lint getting past screen.

Hello,
Here is a link to an exploded view and parts list for your dryer. http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php
If you are certain that the filter is not compromised or damaged and is properly seated into the housing , you may have a problem with the housing itself whereby lint is getting into the blower thru a break in that housing.. I would examine that area for damage.. and make sure when you reinsert the filter, it is seated all the way down.. Hope this helps you... BTW: over time, it is not unusual for lint to build up in the duct since some of that lint is smaller than the filter media and will work its way thru.. If you are getting that degree of lint build up very quickly then you may have a problem as mentioned above..
Regards,
Rick
