I need the wiring schematic for allpower apg3002s 3500w gas generator that is not in the manual

check the starter bendix. might just need lube or new one

The 12v system does not go through the AVR. It most likely is the Battery Charging Rectifier has failed. This controls the voltage from the 12v feed from the alternator and charges the battery.

1) Follow the wiring from the 12v socket/connectors until you come to a Block rectifier. It will be held on by a bolt in the center and have 4 wires connected to it. If you look at the pins you will see one is seated at a different angle to the others. Test the feed to this pin, you should get a result of between 12 Volts DC to 16 Volt DC.
If you are not getting these results then the Block rectifier has blown and will need replacing. http://www.generatorguru.com/rectifier-98406168/

2) If all is testing fine above, then you will need to test the Battery Charging Rectifier as you have an Electric Start and Battery on your unit. This is a metal block located on the back of the engine, next to the starter motor and it has fins running across it. ( to see an example of this part look up your generator on this page http://www.generatorguru.com/all-power/) Again this should be giving you between 12 Volts DC to 16 Volt DC.

3) Next,check the voltage going into the Battery Charging Rectifier from the alternator. You should get between 12 Volts DC to 16 Volt DC.

Make sure it has plenty of oil. Some engines have a low oil shut off. Pull the spark plug wire off and stick a screw driver down inside the spark plug boot and hold the screw driver about a 1/4 inch away from the top of the spark plug and turn the engine over to see if you have a good bluish spark. If you don't then you have a bad coil or rust build up on the flywheel. If you have spark make sure your gas tank is full with new gas. Make sure the air filter is clean. If that doesn't work try taking the bowl off of the bottom of the carburetor and verify gas flows through the float valve. If that doesn't work then you will probably have to remove the carburetor and clean it out.

I bet the spark plug has water on it's gap. Take it out to clean and dry. I bet it will start then. Robert

The fuel filter is probably partially clogged or the adjustment screw for the fuel mixture on the carb has backed off due to vibration. Try turning in the screw in 1/8 th of a turn at a time every time you start it.

Screws always loosen due to vibration so you only have to adjust in to fix it.

That is an older car. A schematic may be available on a Google search. Chiltons and other repair manuals often do not have electrical schematics.
