To help you with your question, we need to know which brand and watch type you own.
A tip: Most of the time is is very easy to find an online manual of your watch by googling " 'brand' + 'type' + manual".

Testimonial: "I have the manual. It just doesn't address military time."

Seriously, jamulder513 is right on both counts. We do need to know what kind of watch you are talking about; and, yes, a simple online search using any of the common search engines will probably find the manufacturer's or importer's instruction manual for your watch.

  4. Select your Echo Dot with clock device. This opens device settings.

How to set a model 40/8309 to standard time and not have it jump to military time?

Try this and report back whether it works for you or not:

Press the MODE button (B) three times to enter the time setting mode. Press the RESET button (A) to tab through seconds, minutes, hour. The ST/STP button (C) scrolls through the number choices. When selecting the hour, if you want 12hr time format make sure the AM or PM is displayed next to the number you desir. There are 48 possible selections for the hour - 12 for AM, 12 for PM, and 24 for military time. Keep cycling through until the correct hour comes around. Once you have the correct choice, press the MODE button once more to exit time setting mode.

My timex indiglo Ironman triathlon watchhas twelve hours of military time and then twelve hours of regullar time. HOW CAN I GET RID OF THE MILITARY TIME AND GET ALL TWENTY FOUR HOURS OF REGULAR TIME???...

Actually all the hours are military time. They are the same for the first twelve hours of the day. If you go through the setting procedure it will ask you if you want "12" or "24" hour time. Select 12. "24" is military

I have a Nexxtech Watch that is both digital and hand driven. I have somehow switched the regular time to a 24 hour clock and don't know how to switch it back. The manual says nothing about it. Any help...

These basic instructions are for most digital watches (and these are for regular to military but you can just follow same instructions to get to oposite) Hope this helps!
  1. Press the "MODE" button---usually on the lower left side of the watch, but sometimes on the right center side---to cycle through to the time display.
  2. Press and hold the "SET" button---usually on the right lower side of the watch---until the seconds flash.
  3. Press "MODE" repeatedly to cycle through the displays that flash: from hours to minutes to month to date and day. At the end of the cycle is the hour display option. Make this option flash.
  4. Press the "SPLIT/RESET" button below the face of the watch to change the hour display option to "24-hour display." This is the same as military time. If there is a "NEXT" button on the upper-right side of the watch, use this to advance to the 24-hour option instead of using the "SPLIT/RESET" button. You may need to press a "START/SPLIT" button instead a "SPLIT/RESET" button to cycle between 12- and 24-hour display. The "START/SPLIT" button could be located below the watch face or on the upper-right side of the watch, depending on the model.
  5. Press the "SET" button again. You are now done. All PM hours should be displaying hours between 12 and 23.
jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); });

Military Time

Hello I have the same watch and had the same problem. You press the mode button till you get to the point to change the main time, you then press the reset button (bottom button on right side of the watch)to toggle to the hour place, you then cycle thru the time untill the "h" in the top right hand corners disappears and then the watch will be back on regular time.

Possibly, you could push the hour-setting button through either the military or standard time setting, i.e., there are actually 48 "hours" you can set your watch to and you need to cycle through enough of them to reach the standard or military hour you want.
