Honda Small Engine Intake & Exhaust Valve Clearances

Mentioned on Page 7 of the manual, but not where it is. It is likely a screw cap holder on the control panel.

Valve clearance goes by the engine, not by the generator maker. They are usually Briggs and Stratton, Honda or Kawasaki.

Hi!

You need to adjust your valve lash clearances to:
Intake: 0.015" (0.381mm)
Exhaust: 0.015-0.020" (0.4-0.5mm) (Try smallest setting first. If still not running right, change clearance to 0.020".)

if you cannot get the specs from on line or from a service agent , generally the following apply:-
water cooled engines
inlet hot .010"--exhaust hot .012"
for air cooled engines inlet hot .012"-- exhaust hot .014"

Is it the engine of the unloader valve in the system.
Honda engines never clunk

This engine is easy to tear apart. It's like taking apart an electrical motor. With a good set of tools you should be able to take it apart no problem.
