SOURCE: Wont take pictures when i press the button

Ours is doing the same thing except we aren't in warranty. Had the camera 6 months and Sanyo wants $85 to fix it. I'll never buy Sanyo again. Take it back while you still can.

SOURCE: Canon PowerShot A480 won't take photo.

its just a matter of batteries...some are not powerful enough to operate the camera ....Try to change them and buy some real good ones..like Duracell or Tatra...do not make any compromises when buy the batteries...get the best cause these kinda cameras really require powerful ones...or ...try to get a set of rechargeable ...

I push the button but it wont take a picture

Did you try it like it is said in the manual? press the button half till the camera is focused and then press the button completely down?
Don't expect the camera to shoot with the same speed as a camera with film did. Give it some time to focus and everything will be fine (I hope)
If not let me know.

How do I take a picture with the date and time stamp in the picture

The date stamp only works in "Postcard" resolution. Press the "Func Set" button, then scroll down to the bottom to select postcard resolution.

Then press the menu button. Select the "Camera" menu, then scroll down to the the Date Time Stamp selection to turn it on.

Wont take a picture unless I turn off the flash

Here are some simple things to try first for a camera that won't take a picture when the shutter button is pressed, or with an inoperative flash. They won't work for every case, but they're worth a try:

The camera wont turn on

hi...ensure that the camera is turned on. If applicable, ensure the lens cover has been removed before taking pictures. the LCD backlight is turned on by pressing the DISPLAY button several times until the screen appears. Depending on the camera model, the DISPLAY button may be labeled as DISP or with a display icon. This button could be a standalone button or it depends upon the camera model.....
If operating the camera with a battery, ensure the battery is fully charged.
Ensure the battery is inserted properly in the camera.
If operating the camera with the power adapter, ensure it is plugged into a working AC outlet.
Ensure no Audio/Video (A/V) cables are connected for viewing pictures on a TV; the LCD screen will not display when an A/V cable is connected.
Perform a reset procedure on the camera....

Wont turn on

My camera worked fine last night while I was taking pictures, however, I couldn't get it to power up today so that I could upload my pictures. I spent half the day recharging batteries, buying new batteries, and searching the Internet for solutions.

It turns out that I just needed to switch the batteries around. The positive and negative battery chambers are mislabeled in my camera. Duh! Works fine now.
Hope this helps someone.

Power key doesn´t work

There must be a problem with your batteries. If you have recently charged your batteries and it happens again, you should try a new set of rechargeable batteries.

You can try conserving charging power usage on camera by turning the flash off so that it doesn't precharge for the next shot.

Camera wont accept any film?

1.The film leader should be placed correctly.
2. the ASA detecting pins in the film champers should be clean.
3. Check for any buttons being in pressed conditions.
4.See whether the frame counter resets when opening the door
5.Then try with a mechanic.
