I just purchased a weslo g 5.9 treadmill. Had my brother and his friend assemble it but the belt wont move. I put the key in and that's not the problem. What can I do to fix this? It's brand new!

i think if you had a magnet you could put on it and the unit should tun okay, that is how mine is setup. now if your takes a key, you local lock smith maybe able to help you, go on line to this site for more information

Check for any loose electrical connections between control panel and motor especially any plug together connections. Moving may he have loosened or unplugged one of these connections. Hope this helps.

Find the allen key that came with the machine. If you don't have it, you will need a 3/16" allen key to adjust the roller.
If the belt is pulling to the right, adjust the right screw by turning it clockwise 1/4 turn with the belt moving. You may need to do this more than once. Between adjustments, watch the belt closely to see how much it moves to the left.
Unless something dramatic has happened to the frame or some other part, the amount of adjustment should not be too great..

When you purchased the treadmill it came with an allen wrench to assemble the machine. That is the adjustment tool.
Inspect the rear plastic cap (the adjustment bolts are there) make sure it is not damaged. If the plastic is broken, it will need to be replaced. This job is not easy. If it is not broken, adjust the belt as follows..
If the belt is already rubbing, locate the adjustment screw at the back of the treadmill on the side that is rubbing.Adjust that screw tuning it 1/2 turn clockwise. Move the belt manually 3 full rotations.. If it is still rubbing, turn another 1/4 turn. Again move the belt manually 3 rotations. Once the rubbing stops, run the machine slowly and watch the belt from the back of the machine..

hi if you can take off the front pannel where the motor is. its look like the belt on the motor a either slipped off or you need a replacement,

hi, the key isnt a problem to get. ive seen some selling in ebay just type in weslo treadmill parts and some listings should come up. or of you go on the ICON HEALTH & FITNESS LTD website these are the main people who sell weslo treadmills leeds based. or their telephone 08451770512. the replacement key is about £12.00 to £20 hope i have helped.

I centered the belt on my tredmill and now it wont move at all. I tighted and loosened the belt. motor runs belt wont move

You have to put the speed all the way down. Hold down the start button for 10 seconds till it stops blinking and then hit start again and move the speed up. It's a child safety feature on the treadmill.
