i think if you had a magnet you could put on it and the unit should tun okay, that is how mine is setup. now if your takes a key, you local lock smith maybe able to help you, go on line to this site for more information

Safety key for weslo cadence c22

Here is the safety key for the Weslo Cadence C22. There are a few different model numbers for the cadence c22 so make sure yours is listed but it looks like this key works for multiple versions of the c22

My weslo cadence 845 treadmill belt is off centered, How do i get it back on track?

There are Allen bolts on the bottom front of the treadmill as you face to console before getting on. Turning one one way and the other the other way will center the belt

I have a Weslo cadence 860 treadmill and have lost the key for it. How can I get another one or can it run without it. I can't get it to turn on. Please help. Thanks

We used a paint stick instead of the key - it fits quite nicely - didn't even have to modify the paint stick except cutting it down so it was shorter and my hubby shaved a bit off the side. We do remove it after the work-out however!
