No fuel from diesel pump when turning engine

Sometimes an air bubble - just before the injectors cause this problem. Loosen the fuel line there and crank the motor. Fuel pressure should force the air out and then fuel will squirk out. Turn key off and tighten up the line. Hope this is it. Other diesel fuel start tips are listed below that will help. http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/diesel-additives.html

My year 2000 diesel escort van wont turn over

sounds like cylinders are full of diesel you need to pull injectors to relieve pressure on cylinder.. it causes it to lock the engine up .. you might have left the key on with a leaking injector and filled the cylinder with diesel and then it would lock you engine.

Not Starting

You should need go empty on a diesel. You will need to bleed the system for it to start. Some do it on their own from simply cranking. You might try a couple of shots of starting fluid in the air intake. First remove the air filter. The speed of the engine turning runs a fuel pump that pushes the fuel to the injectors.

I have a ford focus 1.8 diesel x reg 1999 girlfreind put petrol in it about 3weeks ago we have drained it all re fueled it and it started and run but now it wount start

poss the fuel filter has petrol in it,replace filter, turn engine over with fuel line unattached to clear lines then fire up,should be fine.you may hve a hot start problem for awhile but fill up with diesel at 1/2 tank to dilute any petrol left.in 32 years in the trade i have put petrol in so many diesel cars, and as long as it starts, keep it running, and start only when cold ish.

Driving down the road and staled

Is the car diesel or petrol?

If a diesel, you might check the diesel pump drive belt (at the right side of engine when looking at the engine from front of car). It's possible the teeth on the belt have stripped and put the pump timing out. An alternative may be a "stop solenoid" failure. The solenoid stops diesel getting to the injectors when the "ignition" is turned off and "stalls" the engine.

I don't know if the injector pump on a petrol engine has a similar setup as a diesel but it might be worth checking.
