You shouldn't need ANY drivers. USB is native on both of these Operating Systems. Simply plug the camera into the computer and it should detect it without the installation of any drivers.

Just reinstall the Fuji software again. Or even better uninstall it first and than install it again. Without the correct software and the correct driver it won't work.
When you forgot to install the software please do this before you connect the camera.
Call up www.fujifilmusa.com and look up the model A330 software support. It has a new version(newer than XP) called out as rev 1.77. It doesn't say it's for Vista, but it may be for it. Try downloading it.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.
You do not need any software for the camera to be recognised.
As you have discovered it can complicate things.
Remove the software.
Vista like XP before it will recognise the camera via the Camera/Scanner Wizard.
