SOURCE: Plasma Television won't turn on

Hello,

Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.

if otherwise the power supply board is faulty you can try websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hope this helps

My LCD dynex tv will turn on but keeps flashing on and off saying please wait

The fact that Please Wait appears on the screen that the power board is fine. I would unplug the tv for 4 hours and plug it back in to see if the same thing happens. It does appear that you need to replace the main board,

Dynex dx-40L261A12 won't turn on. Red power light is on, but no sound from speakers and no picture. Remote power button and power button on tv doesn't turn the tv on.

In this case, the symptoms you describe is a faulty inverter board. The TV will or should flash "PLEASE WAIT" and then you have a black screen no audio. Find Shop Jimmy on line. Enter your TV model number. You will find an inverter board for $24.95 plus $9.50 shipping. When you remove the back cover of the TV, look to the left. You will see a long vertical board...this is what you will replace. Thanks for asking, Matt of Martins TV Repair.

Dynex DX-24L150A11 won't turn on LED light is not on either

Sounds like you are missing your 5VDC standby voltage from the power supply. You either have a blown fuse or a defective power supply. Did this happen out of the blue or after a T-storm???
