Make sure battery connections all good. Check fusible links where applicable. Any component that is fuse protected, not only check the fuse, use a test light and check voltage on fuse circuit. Some fuses are hot all the time. Some go hot with the key on.
I need year--make--model?
When vehicle stalls, the dash lites may come on.
Make sure battery has a full charge, battery connections all good. Make sure charging system is working properly.
Use a test lite and check voltage to fuse circuits in fuse box. Some fuses circuits are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. Right now, I can't tell if you have problem with battery--battery connections--charging system--fusible links--ignition switch or what? You need to do some testing. Let us know what you find?
Make sure battery has a full charge and both positive and negitave battery connections are clean and tight.Make sure unit is in nuteral and try to crank. If engine wont crank check starter selonid or relay. MAKE SURE BATTERY HAS A FULL CHARGE.
check that the battery posts and terminals are shiny clean and tight.. Batteries can read 12.5v on a multimeter but under load they die to virtually nothing. have a load test done on the battery as the indications are a bad cell
Check to see if the solenoid is getting power. On the solenoid there are 3 wires. Two big, one from the battery, the other going to the starter. The 3rd wire is what activates the solenoid. Using a test light or volt meter. See if its getting power on the small wire when you turn the key. If no power, ignition switch, safety switches or fuses. If you are getting power replace the solenoid. If you have 4 wires. Test the two smaller ones.
Sounds like a battery cable problem. Check the battery cable terminals for corrosion and tightness. If those are fine, have a load test done on the battery. Here is some troubleshooting tips:
Battery terminal connections loose of corroded. Check the cable terminals at the battery; tighten cable clamp and/or clean off corrosion as necessary. Battery discharged or faulty. It the cable ends are clean and tight on the battery posts, turn the key to the On position and switch on the headlights or windshield wipers. If they won't run, the battery is discharge. Automatic transmission not engaged In park (PI or Neutral (N). Broken, loose or disconnected wires In the staging circuit. Inspect all wires and connectors at the battery, starter solenoid and ignition switch (on steering column). Starter motor pinion jammed in flywheel ring gear. II manual transmission, place transmission In gear and rack the vehicle to manually turn the engine. Remove starter and Inspect pinion and flywheel. Starter solenoid faulty. Starter motor faulty. Ignition switch tautly. Engine seized. Try lo turn to crankshaft with a large socket and breaker bar on the pulley bolt. credit: https://www.wc-autoparts.com/blog/trouble-shooting-no-start-condition-19932002-camaro-and-firebird/
