I assume by using your phone (cable rca to mini jack) the sounbar functions normal. Next time give more info like tv and soundbar make and model no and what connections are available on both components and if its input or output connections.
On the tv make sure the rca cable (tv to soundbar) is plug into the stereo output of the tv and not in a av input. Some tv's have a mini jack out and not rca. Some have a earphone socket which could also be used.
Some tv's only have a digital or optical output port. Iin basic sound work and can be connected with the following combinations .
Minijack to minijack
Minijack to rca
rca to rca
digital to digital
optical to optical
Check the speaker/s first. If found OK, check and replace the audio output IC. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
internal / external selector switch on back of tv near inputs or setting in menu under settings or sound labeled - internal amplifier/ external amplifier.
try pluging cable wire directly to the tv to see if you get a picture you may have shorted out the rca connection may need to be repaired good luck.....
no one ever got back to me - no email, no chat, no nothin
so.... does that mean I will also get no response next month when I contact you to have the charge I'm sure I'll see on my card next month removed?
Just because a machine has failed, there is no cause for you to call it a stupid TV.
And as it is only 6 months old, why not take it to the Company service Centre? There must be warranty.
