I looked at info, 04 jeep grand cherokee laredo. The junction block should be under left side of dash. I don't know, my database only showed the grand cherokee? Hope it's the same?
sometimes these are on a circuit breaker check with a test light for power in the center of your socket then be sure to check the ground if no ground or power always go back to source this circuit may even have a relay
I work for a dodge chrysler jeep dealership,we replace alot of regulators in grand cherokee's,have replaced a few window switches, your dash light problem is more than likely in the head light switch, try working the brightness control and see if that helps
Usually the fuses are under the steering wheel to the left and up against the firewall, like in front of where your left knee would be. There is a plastic door that you need to open to get to them. Its the fuse marked "radio". Your lighter might have a short. Or you could try a 25 or 30 amp fuse as to replace the blown one. If your radio is off and lights to the dash are off and the fuse still blows when you use the lighter you need a new lighter
The common problem with the dashes on the Jeep is contacts. Remove the cluster and try cleaning the electrical contacts with a Q-tip and alcohol replace cluster and try again.
