I have a noisy impeller problem, Needs Part. Can't find the Part, after looking on e-bay,and the internet for 30 min.The humidifier needs a new impeller. It sounds just like our fish tank impeller going bad. This was almost a $70.00 humidifier. And it was new last winter. Surely it's repairable. Thanks!
SOURCE: filter dries out
2 things could be happening.
#1. Your water has gotten harder in the last year and more deposits are getting caught on the filter. Try soaking it in water and vinegar for an hour. This should clean some of the deposits out and extend the life of your filters. Everytime it gets hard try soaking it.
#2. Your machine is running out of water before you can refill. When this happens and the filters dry out, they aren't as good afterwords.
I would advise trying to clean them with vinegar and water and making sure your machine is always full.
Good Luck.

Mine also cracked along the seam several years ago. I sealed the crack using two-part waterproof plastic epoxy (found at any hardware store.) Not really pretty to look at, but it hasn't leaked since!
SOURCE: water keeps running into humidifier even furnance blower is not
This sounds like, the 550 transformer is not connected to the blower motor power connection (in parallel)
SOURCE: Humidifier won't turn on with furnace fan set to Auto.
There is a devise called a current sensing relay (a little black box that hangs on a blower motor wire that senses current from that wire) If you have such a devise it should hang from the white (common) wire. Loop the wire through twice.

I just ordered my replacement tank from kaz.com. Search using the model number and find the tank. I got it for $12....
