I have a frigidaire RE-97 double oven. We recently discovered that the baking element in the top oven and the broiler element in the bottom oven are out. We had just cleaned the oven before we started having problems. Any ideas? Could we just have two bad elements?

The best way for you to check is to swap with other element since they use the same one. FRIST turn the breaker off! Then take out the 2 screws on the element. The wires unplug, make sure they don't go back in the holes or the oven may have to come out to find them. You can pull the element out and take it to a parts house to see if they can check it with a ohm meter for you if you don't want to pull both of them out.

sounds as if perhaps there has been a thermal overload(switch) tha has gone bad, refer to part number 119 on bothe the lower and upper oven for refernce , you should have continuity trough the switches.
