Does the cylinoid "click" when you turn the key? if not, replace it. If it does, check your Ignition fuses, there are 2 or three. Look in your manual for locations. Hope this helps

Just bought a used yamaha 700r raptor for my kids, battery is fully charged and tested on another vehicle and it works. Not getting battery indicator to show anything. Any suggestions?

Try jumping the cylinoid post with a screwdriver with the key on if it starts you have a bad cylonoid most likely,if this is the case order a new one from amazon.com as they are much cheaper and good quality as to buying one from a bike shop

2000 ford explorer xlt 4.0 cranks will not start took to garage changed battery cables and cleaned charging system 2 days later cranks will not start but can hear fuel pump running when I turn key the...

You should hear the fuel pump run momentarily when the key is in the Run position. Ensure the engine has a good spark by removing one of spark plug boots. Stick a phillips screwdriver in the boot, and hold the handle of the screwdriver, and allow the shaft near ground. (motor works best) Have someone crank the engine and look for a good blue spark arch from the screwdriver and engine. If your getting good spark, then check the fuel pressure on the fuel injection rail.

I checked the small wire and have power ???? What small wire ? The wire on the starter solenoid has B+ voltage when turning the key to start position ? If so and your engine isn't spinning over ,your engine is seized up. Try put a socket an breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt an try turning it by hand .

It is the starter. You can cross a screwdriver across the solenoid to start it and drive....just "clack" it. It'll spark but you will get it to start running. Cross the screwdriver across the solenoid posts and tocuh the frame or engine....it'll start....just have the key in the "on: position.

Car won't start but all electronics turn on

Tap on starter with a hammer. If the car starts its your starter. or turn the key and go under the hood and put a screwdriver to both sides of the cylinoid switch and if starts its starter. Good luck and God Bless

Ford F-350 1988 wont start with key,but power to all other electronics,so not starter? I can start it with the cylinoid start switch by crossing it.

Replace the starter solenoid, I have a 1985 F-150 and did the same thing, it worked, but if it didn't, I was going for the ignition switch next.
