Water leaking from below dishwasher from below during cycle.

Water leaking from below dishwasher in a couple places, cannot pinpoint exactly where. DW is 13 yrs old HotPoint HDA150X built in. Is it fixable? How much work DIY? Better to buy new at this age? The leak is only during the cycle and is not the supply nor the drain out.

If you cannot see anything around the pump assembly there are a couple places where the pump attaches to the tum with seals that could leak, Look where the rack wheels attach to the tub also. A mirror and a flashlight are real handy for this. Depending on the cause for the leak will determine if it is worth repairing or repairable. Life expectancy of dishwashers is 7-10 years. Eric

Hi, I have a Maytag Mdb8959sas dishwasher that was leaking during a normal wash cycle. I pulled the dishwasher out from under the counter and saw that it appears to be leaking directly below the point...

I will assume that you have cleaned gasket around door and at washer. Quite often a build up of scale at lower gasket surfaces is all that is causing leak.

The washer is leaking when draining begins. this occurs during the last cycle

Well, this can be from anywhere. The proceedure is to remove the bottom panel and determine exactly where the water is dripping from, then extract the machine and investigate that area. It is odd, however that ONLY the last drain cycle produces the issue, I would expect leaking on every drain cycle.

I have a GE GSD 5130 Dishwasher that leaks about 12 oz of water when it is pumping out the wash water and the rinse water. Its fine during the wash and filling cycle. Is it a seal problem?

This is more likely the hose connection at the drain pump or the pump housing is leaking. You will need to remove the toe kick, place unit into a drain cycle and inspect for a leak. Here is a couple links that should help.

Water leaking from under washing machine. Took off cover. Hoses ans water pump look good. Seems water is leaking on spin cycle above the transmission.

90% of the time the water leaks from either the drain pump module or motor, or through the centre seal and bearing.Couple of not so common areas are the various pipes:small holes in the drum:the soap dish etc. Possibly remove the lid and place the washer on 4 bricks and then run the machine so you can pinpoint the area.

Maytag Jet Clean leaking through right side of door during rinse

It is important to examine the leak to see where it probably originates.

If the water is leaking from the right hand side of the door on your dishwasher, it is time to replace the gasket that seals the door when the door is latched.

ASKO 1605

Hi Guys
My dishwasher this morning has desided to not work correctly.
Its a ASKO 1302 about 20 years old. It has been a very good machine.
Over the last couple of weeks during the washing cycle, the dishwasher has been making a loader noise than usual.
1. Today, the dishwasher timer, travels all the way through its cycle, but very little washing take place.
2. Soap power is still there, plates not clean!!!!
3. Water is hot
4. At the end of the cycle, there is no water in the dishwasher.
5. I'm thinking the problem could be the pump needs replacing.
What do you think?
Greg
