Did you previously have Vista on the computer?
If so the driver CD may have the Vista audio driver on the CD, you need a XP version of the audio driver.
You need to download the XP version of the driver from the MSI WEB site, make sure you delect the correct model of your motherboard and audio card

be sure your driver cd is original. you have an options to install manual and aautomatic. if cannot install from device manager just install it manually from your cd.

look for any motherbaord driver cd with high difinition audio driver or go to your motherboard web site (download/support) and download the sound driver for it.
