You can research how to SSH to the iPhone but I suspect your only solution would be to restore your iPhone using iTunes.
Connect the phone to iTunes, hold the power and home button until the phone reboots, then release the power button but keep holding the home button down. Your computer should install a new driver and the phone should be recognised in iTunes. Please note the phones screen will remain off, this is normal. Click the phone on the left pane and then click restore. This will reset the phone to it's factory settings so you can start again. Some jailbroken apps can cause the phone to not function correctly if they are incompatible with your OS version.

basicly you need to do a software restore or update on your Iphone. When using Itunes 8.2 you can just select your Iphone and in the summary select either restore or update. I would recommend that you update it seeing that the software version 3 does allow mms

Try to reinstall a jailbroken version of the iPhone OS.
Do not (ever) use reset to factory if you need the device to be jailbroken to function (e.g. in case you are using an officially unsupported operator/plan)

You don\'t install Cydia to Jailbreak, you Jailbreak to install Cydia.

your post is kind of old, but since nobody has answered you,here's a solution if you haven't already found one....

after unsuccessfully having tried several others, but i used QuickPwn22 for windows

just download and unzip the file and click on the .exe file to start the program... you will need to also download these two boot loader files: bl39.bin & bl46.bin i found them both in one file (boot_loader.zip) but i wasn't on my computer so i don't have the url for them... shouldn't be to hard to find though.

be sure that first of all you get the right pwn program and bootloader files for your OS (windows or mac) and that you sit and stare at the screen with your iPhone in your hand pressing and releasing buttons as the program instructs you to do... it works like a charm!! in about 5 minutes you should have full use of your iPhone back.

QuickPwn22 works on both the 2G & 3G iPhone. (i have used it on both phones)

this program will activate, unlock and jailbreak your phone, as well as installing cydia and an installer for 3rd party apps. you should know that it will probably affect your warranty to do all of this. one nice advantage of jailbreaking the phone was that cydia had a program, among the many others in the install list, that adds video recording capabilities to your camera... something that apple has not offered (!?!) this far... great image resolution too! just look in the multimedia section of cydia to find it.

During the install setup you will also have an option to add icons... what this does is replace your apple with a pineapple... a reminder to you NOT to upgrade your firmware again after jailbreaking the phone without being sure you can get everything back as it should be.
