We started having problems with ours turning on. We had our laptop worked on by a local mom&pop shop. A week or so later, the laptop would only turn on if we held down the "on" button hard for 30 seconds (or more). Sadly, this is still the case...but at least the laptop still turns on.
When you connect to the raw power, do you hear any beeps ? Is there a sequence ? Long beeps / short beeps ? Anything of this sort could mean a issue wiht the internal hardware.
If there are no beeps, then I think its with the power itself. Could be the power cord .
