Don't know if this will help but, if you just got newer computer - the Windows type could be issue. Some newer Windows aren't compatible with older games. But you can fix that: Right click the game Icon> go to PROPERTIES> Then Click the COMPATIBILITY TAB> then check the empty box and choose Run this program under (then Choose what Windows type the game DID work on such as Windows Vista etc.) If that doesn't do it you may have not enough Graphics memory

Games are not run in my card.

Older games(like those that require 256mb) were made to work on lower resolution video cards, they can't upscale to higher resolution. This is like taking a photo with an old camera and trying to make it bigger, it gets blurred. The problem with crashing is most likely caused by the game being made for an older operating system like XP/98 rather than windows vista, 7, or 8.

I think the solution for this might be using a Virtual Desktop Program which is a program that mimics an older computer so you can run older programs. Some of these are free or free trials. This youtube video might help.

Plugins

sounds like you either had an automatic update to the plugin which the game does not like (more so the case) and you need to disable and remove the plugin and reinstall and older version or it needs an updated version.

Hi, I have this problem with my dell inspiron N 4010 laptop. Whenever i want to play games on my laptop it either crashes down or after the game is over i get a "Optimum resolution error...

The LCD monitors and laptop monitors nowadays have a 'optimum resolution'. The monitor likes to work at a pre-defined resolution.
Games play at a resolution previously set. Usually this differs from the optimum resolution of a LCD/LED screen. Then this error message will appear.
However, crashing of the computer might happen due to other reasons.
*Defective RAM *Not-so-good VGA *Viruses

You have to make sure the above problems are not the reason for crashes.
Also try playing somewhat older games. If the problem occurs due to your VGA not supporting the new games, older games will work fine.
Try these suggestions and let us know.
Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa!

I cannot get through more than 1 or 2 games maximum when playing on multiplayer Call of Duty: Black Ops for XBOX 360. It keeps crashing. This does not happen on single player, or nazi zombies. I can even...

It sounds like your internet provider/router isn't giving you a whole lot of bandwidth to work with. That simply means your internet isn't giving you enough space to actually play call of duty. Your zombie game is probably playing alright because only four people need to connect to each other. That doesn't require a lot of space and memory of internet to do. However multiplayer demands a lot more bandwidth from your router. That might be why you aren't connecting. This could be for a number of reasons.
  • Other people in your household are using the internet too, be it laptops, smart phones, printers, other gaming counsels, etc. Simply turn off these devices to receive more bandwidth for your xbox.
  • Your router is a little too older for video games. If you are using a wireless router for your xbox, try plugging it directly to the wall or router.
Hope this helps

Screen freezes and turns pink sometimes during game play

This is a precursor to a bigger problem. If this just started and you have an older Xbox, you should start to expect game crashing and potentially the Red Rings of Death. Try to clear your system cashe and play a different game. Otherwise, expect more problems.

Sounds like the update did not install properly. You will have to go back and try to run it again.
xboxscene forums has the answer, unfortunately I can't open the page right now. look up "bad update freezing" or "system freezing after update".

Sorry I don't have the link.

Arcade game space invaders, may need new

Perhaps the rendering engine is corrupt? Does the board experience any crashing or blue screens inside windows or any other gui? is it only giving you trouble in the game? Perhaps the game was written for an older chipset and cannot be rendered on this platform.
