No. copper level should be 0.0
if you have a high copper level, you are about to experience severe equipment failure.

Water is clear but chlorine and copper still low, what I need to do?

The salt generator only works when the pool pump is running. If you want a higher chlorine level, run the pump longer. Also, to keep your chlorine in the pool, be sure to adjust the stabilizer level. (25 ppm for salt systems). As for copper, this level should be 0 at all times

High copper level

I agree with Charles T Nevin but also watch your active ingredients on your chemicals to make sure you are not adding the copper when treating. Common with algaecides especially.

Green

Green is an indicator of metal in the water or no sanitizer. Check your sanitizer level and have your pool service company check for metal. Could be very high acid level ... eating at anything copper in your system.

How do i clean off the salt accumulation on the plate?

Disconnect the 2 hoses from the saltwater system, and put on the cell cover plates. In a counter clockwise motion, unscrew the collar of the copper electrode and remove the electrolytic cell. Pour kitchen grade vinegar into the cell to immerse the titanuim plates, put the copper electrode back and soak for 1 hr + untill no color remains. then drain vinegar and reconnect

The copper is too high and is turning my blonde hair green. I left the owner's manual at home and I am trying to find the stuff that it said to buy to correct the problem. It is something sulfate...

-The directions say: Drain about 20% of the pool water and add fresh water to decrease the copper ion concentration below 0.2 ppm

-Add aluminum sulfate .027 ounces per 1000 gals. or aluminum potassium sulfate 0.4 ounce per 1000 gal.

-Use Ultra-swim shampoo containing chelating agents.

Let's start by saying my pool water was fine and then the high salt alarm went off we drained 20% of the pool and now are copper levels are high i have drained 20% and refilled and then another 20% and...

A sequestrate from your pool supply can prevent problems from the copper. The water you are adding needs to be checked for copper and algaecide especially for mustard algae will have copper. Diluting it with a water chance is the most common way to take care of the problem.

Intex 3-way test strips

I use my 3 way test strips and copper strip when the pool is not running After 15 seconds the readings are using a bit high. After 3 - 4 minutes the readings are perfect.
