Hi, a classic carb fault. first job is to make sure you have fresh fuel mix, stale fuel will cause all sorts of hiccups. If that fails your carb is in need of stripping and cleaning. This may be a job for your local repair shop as they can be tricky for the unfamiliar, also repair shops will be able to clean it in an ultra sonic tank. Hope this helps,

You know I googled the phrase "manual for a ryboi string trimmer model c430" and got 4800 hits in .58 seconds. Where exactly are you trying to find it that you cannot locate it? Make some minimal effort try to help yourself instead of asking someone else to do it for you. It is just not that hard to do a google search.

Cluth cable ajustment if equiped.Some cars have a cluth cylender if your model has the cylender no ajustment is available.If you had your cluth changed at a garage you might consider takeing it back in for ajustments.If you changed the clutch check cluth cable for ajustment if your car is equiped with cable if not i would perhaps remove the transmission and inspect clutch for loose clutch plate or release bearing might not be seated properly hope this helped you.

You will need a small punch and hammer to unscrew the clutch on the driveshaft. There is an arrow on the clutch showing the direction to tap the clutch to take it off. You may want to use PBBlaster or Deep Creep penetrating oil to help you get it off.

Try cleaning the carb with carb and choke cleaner. I spray carb cleaner into the opening behind the air filter and then try starting it. It takes awhile to get started. If that don't work remove the carb and spray it down also. When you get it started play with the choke a little. Move it back and forth till it runs smoothly. Mine sometimes will only run of half choke. Mine is a 4 cycle.
