1. Check the power cable and ensure it is securely connected to both the amp and the power outlet. 2. Check the fuse and replace it if needed. 3. Check the power switch and ensure it is in the correct position. 4. Check the battery (if applicable) and replace it if needed. 5. If the amp is still not turning on, contact Roland customer service for further assistance.

Nothing wrong with the amp. Google it- these amps have extremely weak reverb. All of them are the same. It's the one weak point about these amps. And I love mine. I mic it when we gig. Sounds awesome both clean and driven. But you'll have to get a separate reverb pedal if you want "girl crush" or "pipeline" reverb. Don't listen to the above posters. It's the way these amps are.

Wiggle the headphone plug while plugged in to see if there is a difference. The socket may be dirty or sticky.

I have had switches fail. The type they use are common to fail. You can try snapping it on and off a few times real quick to see if it will start working, otherwise you can buy them in bulk from Digikey for a reasonable price- or steal one off a coffee maker.

With it unplugged, just flatten the tabs and push it out the back panel. Short the two wires and plug it in- the amp should turn on.

Sorry... you likely have one of the power amp channels bad as well. One does NOT replace the power supply, instead repair it. You need a competent repair shop. I can tell you what parts are blown on the supply. They cost about $30 max for parts to repair the power supply. There usually is about $15 of parts blown on the amp that caused the problem and significant labor to repair the amp portion. If the smoke was dark or heavy, it was likely from the 0.03 ohm metering resistor on the bottom of the amp circuit board that caused the original problem. If one replaces the power supply and turns power on they will find one side of the amp doesn't work and MAY blow the power supply again immediately. I have repaired several of these units and have walked others through the repair sequence as well. You can contact me directly by email for more info if you need it. Unless you can find a competent repair shop that replaces components, including work on surface mounted boards, the cost of the module parts AND availability will preclude repair. The amp module is another $155 after the power supply is repaired if a channel is bad and one chooses to replace rather than repair.

The headphones socket is on the preamp stage - it works so the problem must be after the pre-amp.
Do you get any sound at all from the speakers (hiss or perhaps a click) when you turn it on?
If yes it is an amplifier problem.
Here are some possible causes

• A wire has come off the loudspeaker - easy to fix
• Speaker protection fuse has blown - small glass fuse mounted on main amplifier chassis - replace with correct rated and type of fuse (note some of these are 'slow' blow type - important that you get the right one)
• faulty component in the main amplifier stage - requires attention from qualified repairer
• Loudspeaker burnt out - this can be tested by connecting another speaker across the terminals of the built in speaker.
• The headphone jack socket automatically disconnects the loudspeaker when phones are plugged in - it could be that the contact in the headphone jack socket is bent and not re-making contact when the headphones are unplugged.

Since this is a brand new amp right out of the box, I would recommend returning it immediately to the dealer you bought it from. If it can't be repaired under warranty they might replace it with a new one.

Unfortunately, the correct action here is to return the unit for a replacement one. Any attempt to repair this will void the warranty. Since you just purchased this today, the store should not give you any trouble and just exchange the unit. If you need to, insist on an exchange rather than waste time on a warranty repair.

Try testing your speaker and related wiring first. Then check your headphone jack. Sometimes the jack fails and your speaker is disabled. wut gauge of wire are u using?...if the amp doesnt have a good solid ground it will decrease the performance...same with the power wire
