Sounds like it is set to do a label length check at power on. Go into your printer preferences and set it to "do nothing" on power up.

SOURCE: Zebra 2746e will skip leaving a blank label while printing.

You need to calibrate. Hold down the feed key while powering the printer on, then let go. The printer will calibrate, print a config label, then fo into dump mode. Press the fee key again to go out of dump. Of your issue persists, there could be a problem with yoru media, or with the commands that you are sending to the printer.

I will print Labels from AS400 to the QL420 plus. I have create a outq on the Server. When i now print a Label the AS400 received that the print is solved, but an the Printer i can't see...

There is may me a cr missing at the end
Sometimes this caracter is needed otherwise the last line is not executed

My lp 2824 zebra printer is printing too light

I am unsure if this one is a ribbor printer or a thermal......
if thermal the paper might be too old or the print head is going bad. if ribbon try replacing the ribbon, or you have a bad batch of ribbons.

Prtinting to a Zebra GX420D from a vendor application, characters like É are not being printed correctly. I tried changing the setting with the ^CI command but without luck. Any ideas...

if you using serial port, check the configuration setings, (flow control (have to be the same with the printer HARDWARE/XON.XOFF)

How do you restart the Zebra GX420d

Reset to Factory Defult? press the button untill flash 4 times and relese the button.
IF want to check the calibration and sensor profile, flash 7 times

Resume:
1 flash print setings
2 flash simple calibration
3 flash !!? (don't remember)
4 flash reset to factory defult
5 flash darkness
6 flash with
7 flash run calibration with sensor profile.
you can use on GK series and TLPs

I get 2 labels(1 with data and 1 blank)for every label printed

THE LABEL SENSOR IS NOT SENSING THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT LABEL

Clean the photo eye that senses the label gap with a q tip and alchol

Open side door release print head and remove label stock you will see small photo eye clean

put printer in manual mode( switch 1 on to and 1 on botom on

turn printer on it should advance one label and hit skip it should advance another

put back in computer mode

should work now if it still skips check yur label desigh=n software and label mode (continuous or sense label)

Printer keeps printing blanks...

We have found a reset that we use.
We unplug the printer and then we hold down the feed button and we keep holding down the feed button while we plug back in.
It goes through some sort of a reset and this sometimes works.
