It is possible there is too much electricity being discharged to the instrument panel. This can be caused by a Zin diode or a condensor malfunction. It is possible that the problem will resolve on its own.

For a 'soft' reset, turn the unit off. Press and hold 'Pages', Press and release 'Power'. Release 'Pages' when the waiver appears. This reset preserves data.
For a 'hard' reset, turn the unit off. Press and hold 'Zin' and 'Zout'. Press and release 'Power'. Release all when the waiver appears. This reset clears all data.

depends on the file extension. Use a proper media player for the specific extension.

Do a soft reset first, if the problem still occurs, do a hard reset.

Soft reset (Does not delete GPS Data)

• Turn unit OFF
• Press and hold the PAGES key
• Press and hold the PWR key
• Release both buttons when the unit powers up to Full Map Screen

Hard reset (Deletes GPS Data)

• Turn unit OFF
• Press and hold the ZIN & ZOUT Keys at the same time
• Press and hold the PWR key
• Release both buttons when the unit powers up to Full Map Screen

Same problem any ideas????

Try this hard reset procedure: (warning: this procedure will erase all waypoints that have been saved)

1. Turn unit off
2. Press and hold the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR keys at the same time.
3. Release the ZIN, ZOUT, and PWR keys once the alarm "warning, do not rely..." appears.

The unit should now be out of demo mode.

Same problem, I found out how though. If your willing to lose your waypoints like I was, turn the unit on, then off. Hold the Zin and Zout buttons down and and then hold the power button down, when you get to the map, release Simultaneously and it will reset and work. and questions email me at [email protected].
