Where can I get a motherboard for an Acer L310 PC Desktop?

The CMOS battery will be on the motherboard. Remove the cover then sit the computer on it's side. Take a flashlight and look for a silver battery about the size of a nickel. Once you find it, use a very small flat head screw driver to pop it out. The normal size battery is CR2032 which can be purchased for less than $5.00 at Walmart, your grocery store or a drug store.

I have scrapped two of these within a month of each other and they were bought together (mother and son)and so have many other people i have talked to in the trade. The problem is with them is overheating. There is really not enough ventilation and the motherboards burn out. Take a tip and buy something much better.

Your computer uses the Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3000, which is built into your motherboard. Unfortunately, there are no additional drivers for your computer so performance can not be upgraded, in that sense.

What you can do though is increase the screen resolution (on the desktop and in game settings). This should allow for a sharper, clearer image and a better overall gaming experience

Yes. I am currently updating an Acer Aspire L310 (lunchbox format) desktop.

Many of the drivers are contained on the XP installation disk and will automatically be installed when you install XP.

Other Drivers:

Assuming your L310 has the same hardware (may not), you can use the following Hardware detail to locate the drivers by typing in the hardware model into a search engine like Bing.

NIC - Marvell Yukon 88e8056 PCI-e GB; this driver can be downloaded from www.cnet.com. On this website, just type in the model info and it will direct you to the driver download.

Wireless NIC - Broadcom 802.11g; download from www.cnet.com

Display/motherboard chipset - Once you have installed XP and the NIC driver, go to www.intel.com and click on the "downloads/support" option. The website provides an autodetect utility that will identify your hardware and provide updated drivers.

Audio - go to Realtek website and select "downloads". Download/install the high definition audio driver for XP.

Once you are up and running with XP, run the Microsoft Windows Update utility and it will find updates for many of the essential drivers.

yes...i guess so...
because if the MB is OK then it must at least boot as booting is from CMOS/BIOS which is part of the MB...if it's not coming on and nothing comes on screen....then ur MB is out...
the FAN is of the power supply unit..

1. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
2. On the Desktop tab, click Customize Desktop.
3. Under Desktop icons, click to select the check boxes of the icons you want to view.
