Downgrading from Vista to XP is not a good choice. Specially HP Notebooks are not comaptible with retail version operating systems and its difficult to find the drivers and get it work.

I found a few. Please install in the same sequence and check. A restart is must after each driver installation.

You need to download all the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require.

You can turn the wireless on from the control panel. In control panel you will find HP wireless assistant with which you can turn on the wireless.However, the issue could be with the wireless driver or quick launch buttons.I will provide you the drivers for the notebook zv6000. As I understand that you are facing issue with the Qucik Touch buttons of the volume on the notebook.

If this is correct, install the Quick Touch buttons drivers on the notebook.
