Kitchenaid dryer model kgys750jq0 wont start

The door switch is located near the dryer door and is activated when the door is closed. If the door switch fails, the dryer won't start at all. Many types of door switch will make an audible click when they are activated. If the door switch makes a clicking sound when activated it is probably not defective. If it doesn't make a click, it can be checked with an ohm meter or continuity checker. The door switch is relatively easy to replace and is usually not very expensive. Here is the switch to order if it is bad.

The thermal fuse helps to prevent a dryer fire by shutting off power to the dryer if it overheats. If the dryer won't start check this fuse first. Test the thermal fuse with an ohm meter or continuity checker. This is the most common part to fail when the dryer won't start. Once the thermal fuse has blown, it has to be replaced. It can not be reset. Here is the fuse to order in case it is bad.

Post back your findings and I will post the repair video for the repair.

My Whrilpool Dryer only makes a click sound when turned on with the door close. Any suggestion?

Make sure the door actuator is showing (door switch stub) that the door pushes when closing . If it's ok , then replace the thermal fuse ( a small whute piece with 2 wires connected .)

Door Switch broken; therefore dryer will not start.

look at your schematic to make sure that you are jumping the right pair of wires. Yes, it should work if you jumper the door switch

Dryer Won't Start

Make sure it has power. Then:Check the door switch. A little lever sticking down through top right of door opening. If it is not there you will need new door switch(sometimes the little lever breaks off). If it is there and does not click when you press it in you need a new door switch. if it clicks when you close the door then you have a bad thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is found by taking the back of the dryer off. The fuse is an oblong white plastic piece with 2 wires attached.

Whirlpool lgr4634eqo makes a buzzing noise when trying to start

Try holding the door switch lever in and turning the drum hard by hand. It sounds like you have a start switch out in the motor.
