How can I recover my cr700 when after going into recovery mode I have nothing on screen.the mouse works but blank screen.i get the win logo and loading windows files but nothing after that. I have tried...

If you have backed up your data (photos, documents, etc.) on an external hard drive, USB disk, DVD's.

If there is company data, or otherwise valuable data, this is better left to a professional! If you are able to cope with the possible loss of all your data, feel free to continue reading.
If you're unable to backup your data, you might try to do so with:
Easeus Data recovery Wizard
Data Recovery Wizard Free 8 6

After you have baked up your data. You could try to recover windows from the error by:
-Pressing F3 repeatedly when the unit is powered on.
-This will get you a menu to load Windows, or Windows recovery
-After this, select "Windows Sytem Recovery Options"
-Follow the on-screen options to try and fix the issue
-If this doesn't work, power on the laptop again and press F3
-load up the Windows option that you are given
!THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR PERSONAL DATA AND RESTORE THE COMPUTER TO FACTORY DEFAULTS!
-Select "MSI Recovery Manager"
-IF YOU ARE SURE IT'S OKAY TO LOSE ALL DATA: "OK" > "OK"

-IF F3 Doesn't work, either your recovery files are missing, or your hard disk is failing. If this is the case, you can read on at:

Reinstalling Windows when recovery fails MSI HQ User to User FAQ
Hope this helps!

Possible hard drive failure. You may have to reinstall the operating system and if that doesn't work then you have to get a new hard drive. The tech may or may not be able to recover your files from the damaged unit.

How do i reset a compaq cq45

I don't know if this helps...I've copied it from their website:
"Recovering your computer without recovery discsYou may not need recovery discs to recover the software on your computer. HP provides a recovery solution on a separate area of the hard drive. If the hard drive is still functional, you can still perform an HP system recovery from the hard drive as long as the recovery information has not been destroyed or corrupted. To do a software recovery from the hard drive, turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key until "Windows is loading files..." displays on the screen. If your computer originally came with Windows XP or earlier, press F10 to enter recovery instead of F11."Regards,nicam49
