Update how can I update my Innova 1203 b

Did Live Data work on the SAME vehicle before? Older vehicles don't support that feature, it isn't the Scan tool it is the ECM Software in the vehicle. For instance, not on your
1978 Ford F100
or the
1999 Buick Century
but yes on the
2014 Chevrolet Cruze

1999 car in USA?
Innova what model is it.? best is the one that does all FORD factory codes too. P1xxx UP,etc.
Innova, OBD2, scan tool (I have 2)
here are the steps,
1: fresh batteries in INNOVA 3x, AAA .
2: fuse that runs pin 16 power on OBD2, Power in not dead but is 12vdc or it fall fails. (car fuse for this pin not blown)
3: connect INNOVA 16pin plug to 16pin jack at knees dash edge
4: turn on INNOVA and scan . , the manual if free, if lost.

This is as close as I can come to finding you a manual. Innova manufacturers have not continued to make all models. I don't find a "fryer' listed for Innova, much less the model number. I have to assume it is a cooker.

The 2003 uses a different protocol (software) to read codes, you need a new scan tool.

Error #1203 is a message error caused by either a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In-One (AIO), or by a shorted printheads.
In clearing up this error clean the contacts and look for obstructions around the printer head and cartridge.
You also should update your computer and printer software with the wizard available at the Lexmark site:
Many times the computer gets updated, or the printer software, and if not both them then both don't have the same information, and will cause an error.

I'm not sure if an obd2 will work on your year...I own a 93 formula and have a obd1 reader. It is for 92 or 93 GM to 98 GM vehicles. It works extremely well for what you would be using it for. It won't tell you exactly what is wrong, but will definately point you in the right direction.
