I just replaced my icemaker in the SubZero 532. It was very easy to do, BUT ... the metal fill tube that comes out of the back of the fridge was loose...I just laid it back in place like it was in the old ice maker. But now I have water on the back of the fridge, and it is freezing there. I'm thinking this metal tube is not in the proper place, but how do you get to it. I can see the end of it by the ice maker, but I can't see the other end of it. Thanks...

Turn the Freezer and icemaker off. There are two screws pointing up holding the shelf above the icemaker down. Take them out and gently push the front of the shelf up to see the plastic tube coming out the back wall that the metal tube pushes onto. You will probably need to thaw the excess ice out first. Push the metal tube into place over the plastic tube it should curve toward the icemaker cup. Don't push it on too far or it will miss the cup.

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35

My sub-zero 532 makes ice that melts and refreezes

Hopefully, you've solved your problem by now, over a year later. If not, a similar problem I have with my 532 is due to the aluminum tube that the water flows through to fill the icemaker. Over time, this metal tube moves away from the icemaker toward the hose it is attached to due to the hose being warmer than the freezer compartment. This creates a gap between the metal tube and the icemaker causing water to spill into the ice bucket each time the icemaker refills. It makes you think the ice is melting and refreezing, but it is really just the water freezing when it spills into the ice. To correct the problem. you have to remove the icemaker, which is not that difficult, if you have a long stem phillips screwdriver. Then grab the metal water tube with some needle nose pliers, and pull it toward you to return it to its original position. If you pull too hard and it comes completely off the hose it is attached to, it is difficult to re-connect, but can be done, as I have had this happen several times, and have succeeded to re-connect it each time with some patience. The metal tube must fit snuggly into the icemaker when the icemaker is re-installed to prevent it from leaking water into the ice bucket each time it refills. My model 532 is now 23 years old and still working. Good luck!

Does anyone know the reason my subzero 532 is frosting at the corner just above the vegetable glass self close to the freezer side. The icemaker is also not workin. May be just coincidental

sometimes you have bad insulation problem. on your panel at back of fridge. you must remember that there are condensing pipe running between your panels and if there is a wwekness in your panel insulation, you can get ice buildup on your panel because of condensation. you can get liquid foam to repair the problem. find the position from the bask of the fride and remove the insulation foam in that area. most of the new type fridges have a type of plastic corrugated cover at the back. it is easy to remove a piece and replade it with any kind of covering. its a messy job so goodluck my man.

Subzero model 532 fridge not cooling well, freezer ok

Did u check condenser on the top behind the grill? If it's clean, check unit for evaporator freon leaking. Light....Possibly bad bulbs behind that plastic light cover or light switch - one of them located on upper portion of door frame.

I have a whirlpool gold refrigderator model# GS6NBEXRL00 and the ice maker is not producing any water. I replaced the whole ice maker and nothing happened. After unpluging and plugging the fridge back in...

you p robably have a frozen fill tube for the icemaker. coming inot the rear is a tube for dispensing water into the icemaker. check this for ice if it is frozen you can thaw it out by using a blow dryer to melt theice out. on some models this tube comes thru the back wall of the freezer for cross the freezer icemakers there is a black tube that comes out of the ceiling. if you have any questions please post here and I'll get back to ya thanks Peyton

Whirpool fridge won't make ice

a loss of water supply to the refrig could cause this problem. check the fill tube that supplies water to the icemaker (this is the tube that omes into the rear of the icemaker) i think you will find it is frozen up. you can clear this out wiht a hair dryer. I just looked at a diagram for the model number you provided and the fill tube is the black tube that comes into the fill cup on the far right hand side of the icemaker. you will have to raise the icemaker door to see it. but heating this and clearing the ice will fix it thanks peyton
