Here is how to connect your Windows 7 installed notebook to an external display

Most of the notebooks that were manufactured in the past two-three years come with a HDMI port along with the old VGA port to connect your computer to an external display. Connecting and activating an external display on a Windows 7 machine is pretty simple.

Here is how to connect your Windows 7 installed notebook to an external display:
1. Connect your Windows 7 laptop to the external display using VGA or HDMI cable.
2. Then, switch on your Windows 7 laptop and also the external display.
3. Once Windows 7 is up and running, type Mobility Center in Start menu search area and hit enter to open the same.
4. If you have connected your Windows 7 machine to the external display properly, you should now see Display connected text under External display section of Windows Mobility Center. To use the connected external display, click Connect Display button. You should now see your Windows 7 desktop in the external display as well.
5. Use disconnect button in the Windows Mobility Center to disconnect the external display. When the display is connected and active, use Windows + P keys to quickly switch between these displays

Hi i have an apple display connected to my macbook

Unplug the display from your macbook, and restart your macbook, when it's fully restarted and you are logged in, plug the display back in, then check to see if it is detected. Macbooks don't like to be put to sleep (shutting the lid) with a display connected, this causes issues with display detection. So always unplug your display and wait about 5 seconds before closing the lid on your macbook, and when you open the lid, wait another 5 seconds before plugging in your display. The only time it is acceptable to leave the display plugged in when you close the lid is when you plan to use the macbook in clamshell mode, this is done by plugging in and configuring your display, shutting the lid, and then "waking" the macbook from sleep mode with an external mouse (wired or wireless will work). That will start the macbook using the external display as the main display, without even turning on the macbook built-in display. Never connect or disconnect an external display when your macbook is off or in sleep mode. Have a nice day.

Menu display intermitent

display is disclosed which produces multiple visual displays in an intermittent manner which includes a display housing having a perimeter wall which is transparent during visual display and is an opaque mirror between visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing is a composite structure which preferably includes a transparent cylindrical substrate which is coated with an optical film and an opaque mask which defines display windows. Multiple visual displays are produced by a rotating display base which carries rows of rotating display elements. Preferably, the display elements are elongated triangular elements having three image faces which bear images which create the visual displays. The triangular display elements are arranged in a triangular configuration wherein the rows intersect one another at acute angles and are carried by the rotating base. The rotating base includes three display positions and each of the triangular elements includes three display positions. A stationary observer would see nine different visual displays and may see themselves mirrored in between and during the changes of visual displays. The perimeter wall of the display housing becomes transparent as the triangular display elements are backlit along their entire length by elongated fluorescent or neon light tubes. When the light tubes are off, the cylindrical display housing is an opaque mirror, preferably, about its entire periphery and height. Other embodiments of the invention include a single row of triangular display elements, and a rotating display base which includes display faces consisting of only a single display element.
