Camera will not turn on all the time.. Works roughly once a day. When I press the on button, the green light comes on, but then it beeps 3 times and turns off. It is not the batteries as I have used 3 different sets of new lithium batteries, and as I mentioned, it will work every now and then. Any help would be great appreciated.

The 3 beeping sound as ou call it annoying means that the camera has low battery capacity. the lens is stuck out because there is incorrect battery connection. there is an option on the camera setting for the battery type. try this one:
-turn the camera on
-click on Menu button
-select options using left/right, up/down button
-select Set up 2
-Select Battery type
-Select Alkaline for non-rechargable
or Ni-MH for rechargable
-click OK button

this setting should be done when using camera for the first time and whenever you are switching battery types, from rechargable to non-rechargable and vice versa.

It definitely is a matter of the lens. I am having the same problem and after reading your posts here tried playing with the lens and got it to turn on but the lens remains defective. I need to find a fix before i go on my trip to Guatemala in a week!

It means that the camera is having issues with the zoom and the lens moving outward. Usually the case is that something is stuck between the different levels of the retractable zoom. After it beeps, try pulling the outermost rim of the zoom out a bit, then pressing the power button again.

Just an update, sent the camera out for repairs. Nope batteries were not the issue at all, it was caused by a defective zoom.

Samsung Digimax S800 camera won't turn on. Beeps three times.

This explains the 3 beeps. also says you can get it repaired which is by far the best option. The behaviour is very typical of low battery state. Try a set of Lithium batteries.

Green light goes on when I turn camera on, but 3 red lights flash when I shoot & nothing happens. I tried changing multiple batteries, all alkaline. No luck yet. Any ideas?

The 3 flashing red lights indicate low battery power! This could be because of low battery power (all 4 batteries must be good), the battery contacts in the camera are poor, the make of battery being used (try different make of battery)

I'll push the power button and the little green light flashes it beeps and the lense comes out just a tiny bit but then in stops goes back in and beeps twice and it's still off. Is there and...

First check the battery. Charge the battery to full condition or change with new battery and try to turn on your camera.
Or you can put off all batteries and memory card, wait for a moment, then put in again and turn on your camera.

Hope this help

Can't get the power on...

I would try a new battery. How old is the battery? Your probably right about the battery not holding a charge.

First check to see if it's a power issue. Try different types of batteries one that will turn it on. The problem could be that the battery type setting on the camera is different then the type you are trying to use.

Camera not working

Usually when the camera beeps 3 times. It means the battery is low. Then it turns right off. What kind of batteries are you using for your camera?

Start and die

Could be time for a new camera But check out Kodak Support first. It has been said that cameras in a certain price band[any make/model] are to be considered as disposable -like toasters and kettles I guess.
