Wincraft desk clock says 84 degrees but that's not correct

Sometimes it does take time for things to stabilize. I have had weather instruments take up to a day to get right. Unfortunately, just because something is new does not guarantee it is working perfectly. That's why most things come with a guarantee.

I cannot get my thermostat althc014 to turn down by its self when room tempreature is reached

How To
Set The Temperature

The reason the stat is coming on during the night/ always
being on is setting number 5, there are 5 settings on the Salus

1
is the time you want heating on eg, 07.00 and set the temp (20)

2
is the time you want it to go off eg, 10.00 and set the temp (10 this
will turn it off)

3 is the time to come on an evening eg. 17.00
and set the temp (20)

4 is the time you want it to go off eg,
23.00 and set the temp (10 this will turn it off)

5 the problem
many people have is that they do not set number 5 correctly, this is a
night/ frost stat and if you don't set the time and temperature same as 4
ie, 23.00 and 10*c then the heating will stay on.

How To Set The Time and Date On Salus Programmer?

1.Press the
Set and Select buttons simultaneously to enter the clock setting mode.

2. By using
the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow you can select between 12Hr or 24Hr clock.
Once selected press "SELECT".

3.The "HOUR"
will now be flashing. Adjust with the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys to the
desired time. Press "SELECT".

4.With the
"MINUTES" now flashing adjust with the arrow keys to the correct
minutes. Press "SELECT".

5.Now the
"YEAR" will need adjusting. Again use the arrow keys to change and press
"SELECT".

6.Now adjust
the "MONTH" with the arrow keys and press "SELECT"

7.Next to
change will be the "DAY OF THE MONTH" again with the arrow keys change
and press "SELECT"

8."dLS" will
now appear. This is the "DAY LIGHT SAVING" mode to turn "ON" or "OFF"
use the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys. Now press "SELECT"

Hope this information is what you need to operate your unit.

I've set the time on/off and ive tried turning on manually but the lights wont turn on on exact time set. y? when i manually turn on the lights come on 2 hrs later or so, y doesnt it turn on right away?

If I understand correctly, you have an Intermatic timer.
The timer has a yellow dial that rotates around like a clock.

Does the manual override work?
If yes.
a) then the circuit has electricity
b) the lights are in working order

Does the clock rotate?
If yes
a) then the timer is probably good
b) the clock motor could be bad
c) the gears could be rusty and dirty

Do you have the current time set correctly?
Lift and rotate dial until current time lines up with silver pointer.

Do you have the trippers set on the correct time?
There are ON trippers and OFF trippers
Attach trippers to correct time
Tripper pins wear out

Suggestion: You sit in front of the timer and watch the trippers as they rotate to the bottom of the dial
When the trippers get to the bottom, they push a lever that turns lights on and off.
Look at the photo:

Here's a website that sells tripper pins and clock motors for Intermatic timers.
You can buy new trippers or clock motor

I have a 40 year old Tappan electric wall oven. It has an analog clock with 3 timers on it (2 small timer...stop and start and a large timer with 3 hands on it). Which position do the timers need to be for...

I have one of these too. the TOP small clock should be set to the time you want the oven to start and the BOTTOM small clock should be set to the time you want it to turn off. Be sure to set the oven settings to what you want and the correct temperature.

Try testing it first just to see if it works correctly. It's also important to make sure the other large clock on the oven is set correctly.
