This is fuse labeled 9 in the passenger compartment fuse panel. It is a 30A (Green in color) fuse. The fuse panel is located just below and to the left of the steering wheel next to the brake pedal behind a cover panel (note that there should be a fuse puller attached to the cover panel, btw). I highlighted the fuse location on the diagram provided.

You may want to remove the cover over the wiper nut and tighten it down. Make sure you don't exceed the torque settings. The nuts have a tendency to back off causing the wipers (or one wiper) to slip.

Why the front windshield wipers still not work after the fuse was change? The windshield washer works ok.

Most likely it is the motor, when it failed it likely blew the fuse. The washer pump is separate from the wiper motor. It is also possible that it is the switch.

1990 Ford Taurus GL windshield wipers park in the wrong position

I have a 1996 Ford Taurus with a similar malfunction the intermittent wiper function is erratic, but the wipers park properly. I'm the original owner & this malfunction was in the car from the factory. I have a regular Ford Dealership manual & came to the conclusion that the Generic Electronic Module located behind the fuse panel is bad (computer glitch in programming) ! Ford Dealers want over $ 300.00 for a brand new module, I haven't checked with my local used auto parts recycler yet, but I know it will be less than the dealer price !
