SOURCE: star deep fryer.

Those thermostat bulbs are the thermostat and hi-limit bulbs. They need to be secured to the fryer. The hi limit is tripping out because its sensing that the oil is too hot.Even though the oil isnt that hot the hi limit thinks it is.

SOURCE: fryer quits heating have to hit reset switch

This button should be a high limit switch. If it is a small red button mounted to a 2" x 2" or so device. You most likley have an issue with the thermostat letting it over heat. The best thing to do would be to replace both the thermostat and the high limit for safety reasons.

SIT 630, model 0630535 Pilot won't stay lit when button released, even after holding in for several minutes. Good pilot flame. Pilot light had been on for several weeks and went out - now can't light.

The thermal coil that tells the gas valve to stay open when the piolet light is lit is bad. Go to the hardware store with your model and serial number, they should be able to sell you a new one. They don't cost much.

I have got lincat fryer j10 the pilot won't stay

Hi there.
Make sure that the thermopile is receiving enough heat from the pilot and if it does, check if the hi limit is good, check and tighten also all of the wiring connections, before replacing the gas valve.
Regards.

First clean out pilot light with can of air , or blow down it with a tude.
Then brush electrode clean with a clean paint brush ,chech to see if electrode is in the right postion to light the gas not too far away and the spark is strong , Clean thermopile head if fitted, then check thermocuople /thermopile connections are tight . see if this helps .

Atlanta Stove AIT3 model wall stove. will not light unless pilot light is held down...

Most pilot flames for gas burners are controlled by a safety valve. This model has a pilot safety valve. The safety valves function is simple, if the flame goes out for whatever reason the vale shuts the gas flow to the pilot light. The safety valve is controlled by a device that sits right next to the pilot (small cylindrec tube ( thermopile) that senses the pilot flame either by heat or dc current. To ignite the pilot light you have to manually hold down pilot light button until the the thermopile is hot enough (usually 5 to 20 secs), after that time, the thermopile will allow the safety valve to open. Check to see that the pilot's flame is making contact with the thermopile. If it is not, the pilot flame will require cleaning and or adjustment. If it is making contact, the you might need to replace the safety valve and the thermopile.

Hi there. Try cleaning the thermopile, it must be free of soot or any other form of dirt, the pilot flame should be of good quality, as well as the gas pressure.

Pilot won't stay lit

If a standing pilot won't stay lit, the usual cause is a bad thermocouple. The thermocouple is a safety device with a probe that is kept heated by the pilot flame and produces an electric signal. Wires from the thermocouple connect to the main gas valve. If the thermocouple fails, the main valve shuts off gas to both the pilot and main burner. When you try to re-light the pilot, it goes out again as soon as you release the pilot button on the valve.

A new thermocouple is only $10 or so, and it's pretty easy to change. There are a number of how-to sites and videos showing how to change the thermocouple in gas furnaces and water heaters, and the process is similar in commercial ovens and fryers. Once you see what the thermocouple looks like and how it's installed in some other appliances, you'll be able to identify it in your fryer and see how to change it. That should get your frying again.
