SOURCE: star deep fryer.

Those thermostat bulbs are the thermostat and hi-limit bulbs. They need to be secured to the fryer. The hi limit is tripping out because its sensing that the oil is too hot.Even though the oil isnt that hot the hi limit thinks it is.

SOURCE: fryer quits heating have to hit reset switch

This button should be a high limit switch. If it is a small red button mounted to a 2" x 2" or so device. You most likley have an issue with the thermostat letting it over heat. The best thing to do would be to replace both the thermostat and the high limit for safety reasons.

SIT 630, model 0630535 Pilot won't stay lit when button released, even after holding in for several minutes. Good pilot flame. Pilot light had been on for several weeks and went out - now can't light.

The thermal coil that tells the gas valve to stay open when the piolet light is lit is bad. Go to the hardware store with your model and serial number, they should be able to sell you a new one. They don't cost much.

I have got lincat fryer j10 the pilot won't stay

Hi there.
Make sure that the thermopile is receiving enough heat from the pilot and if it does, check if the hi limit is good, check and tighten also all of the wiring connections, before replacing the gas valve.
Regards.

Hi there. Try cleaning the thermopile, it must be free of soot or any other form of dirt, the pilot flame should be of good quality, as well as the gas pressure.

Pilot won't stay lit

If a standing pilot won't stay lit, the usual cause is a bad thermocouple. The thermocouple is a safety device with a probe that is kept heated by the pilot flame and produces an electric signal. Wires from the thermocouple connect to the main gas valve. If the thermocouple fails, the main valve shuts off gas to both the pilot and main burner. When you try to re-light the pilot, it goes out again as soon as you release the pilot button on the valve.

A new thermocouple is only $10 or so, and it's pretty easy to change. There are a number of how-to sites and videos showing how to change the thermocouple in gas furnaces and water heaters, and the process is similar in commercial ovens and fryers. Once you see what the thermocouple looks like and how it's installed in some other appliances, you'll be able to identify it in your fryer and see how to change it. That should get your frying again.

Light pilot on Royal deep fryer. Pilot will not stay lit. Second fryer has larger pilot have no trouble keeping it lit. How can I adjust the pilot so that it will stay lit?

there is a small adjustment screw on the gas valve, turn it clockwise to increase pilot,if that does not work the vent cap on the gas regulator on the back of the unit could be stopped up,remove that cap ,clean out or replace unit can operate without it just fine.If you increase the pilot and it still wont stay lit replace the thermocouple

Pilot light will not stay lit

You can not check a thermocouple by resistence. You have to check it by millivoltage when it is hot and sensing it should be above 500mv. I would be willing to bet that you have some type of particulate in the gas valve that is causing this problem.

No Pilot Light

This device actually uses a thermopile it is part number P5047541. There are two things to check here ensure that you have had the right part installed be verifying the part number and also check that the sensing end of the thermopile is directly in the path of the flame.
