What kind of boat? Usually a skeg is very boat-specific and has to come from a dealer or manufacturer.

No. No rudder or skeg is made for them and no others fit.

Found some on ebay under "Skeg, Keel, Fin Replacement Intex Challenger". They sell them every few weeks & the sell out quickly. They are actually an improved design & they sell at about $15.00

You could probably tie one on using a rope harness over the top of the boat, you can do that on anything, but why would you want to?

It is not going to track really well in any event, and so you will just make it slower. Inflating it rally really well might help. This is a short boat and I suspect a bit high-sided, so it will catch the wind and it is more-or-less flat bottomed so it will spin a bit. (YMMV.)

You need a repair kit from wilderness systems.I had the same problem. It happens when something gets stuckbetween the skeg and the skeg box, the first think most of people do is to force the lever and doing so make the cable bent and after that it would never work again.They sent me the repair kit with no charge and now everything is working fine.

I have just bought a Tequila, and though I love it, I know what you mean. The problem is that the stern keel doesn't sit low enough when 2 people are on board. In duo config, with 1 person sitting aft, it handles fine, since the stern keel is more submerged.
I am working on a fixed rudder/skeg. Will post when I am successful.

We have a 20ft Necky Tofino, and I installed a new SmartTrack rudder system on it last year. My wife is 5'2" and I'm 5'11", and we both love it because it's easily adjustable while you're sitting in the kayak. We can switch seats at any time with no problem.

The whole thing came to $250 with a spare blade.

This inflatable kayak is meant to turn to facilitate maneuverability in whitewater; it needs to turn.

Try attaching piece of plastic as a skeg, perhaps the skeg from the Sevylor Tahiti will suffice (or a piece of lucite or a plastic cutting board). A skeg makes a boat track straight.

My Sevylor Colorado came with an optional skeg which I only attach on flatwater (never whitewater).
