Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.
Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Usb arrow itunes error

iTunes for Windows iTunes can contact the iPhone iPad or iPod software...
If you can access your device's settings menu and connect to Wi-Fi, install the latest version of iOS over Wi-Fi using Settings > General > Software Update. If your device is locked with a forgotten passcode or in recovery mode, you will need iTunes to restore the device.
If one of the alert messages above appears when you try to update or restore your iOS device, connect to the Internet with your preferred web browser, and access the iTunes Store.

If you cannot connect to the Internet with your web browser

If you can connect to the Internet, but see an error when accessing the iTunes Store

If the iTunes Store shows a blank white page

If the iTunes Store opens successfully

On itunes i am trying to buy songs but error 9808 came up what do I do????

The 9808 error is usually caused by a problem connecting to the iTunes store server. It can be something like the date and time on your computer being wrong and so confusing itunes or it can be a problem with your security software. It is often advised to Uncheck the box labeled "Check for server revocation certificate" in the security section under the advanced tab of your Internet Options settings.

1) Go into your Internet Options
2) Click the Advanced tab
3) Scroll down to Security
4) Uncheck the box labeled "Check for server revocation certificate"

Hope this helps. Please rate my response.
Thanks.
Have a good day

Cannot update or download apps on iphone 3G response says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" had no problems first 9 months I owned phone...now this has been happenening for over a month. phone is jailbroken...

The problem with using a phone on another carrier is that even though it worked for a long period of time your current carrier updates information on there system and it may now have caught that you are using an unlocked phone on there service. This is not a bad thing but your applications may not work properly. You may also experience delayed voicemail and delayed text messaging because of this issue.
