SOURCE: where can I find thermal

the switch should reset itself after it has cooled off, but it is typically near the housing of the bulb to read the temperature accurately.

SOURCE: Hi, There was a popping sound

This is an indicator stating the lamp is bad and cannot power the projectors backlight. You should replace this prior to any additional powering of the unit.

Hi!You need to check the back side of the lamp housing on the inner side of the projector. you will find it sitting on the top.

PLC-SW30 not powering ON

Without knowing if the internal fuse is ok, a diagnosis is difficult. With the unit unplugged, you could *carefully* try to remove the fuse or, better yet, if you have a small mirror (dental mirrors are what the techs use) try to examine the fuse for an intact wire. A lot of units have a thermal breaker but that should never trip unless the temperature gets so high as to risk damage.(You never want to give that thing a reason to kick out)

Sanyo PLC-XF46N projector shuts down before powering up completely

The Fix Ya rep suggested that I try the "Reset" button located next to the Audio out on the side of the projector; this solution proved to be the fix I needed. I was able to get the lamps to warm up and get into the menu to cut back the bulbs/power consumption on start-up, allowing the projector to function for a problem-free 4 hour period Unfortunately, I had the same issue this morning, but the same fix worked again.
