My phone was working fine and all of a sudden i could hear the person calling me but they cannot hear me. My phone did not drop or fall in water but i noticed i cannot turn the volume down on the ide of the phone. Any ideas?
Try turning the phone off for at least 30 minutes, then turn back on, this will reset many things. I have had this problem with 2 different phones and it worked.
You can try taking the battery out and then putting it back on. I had the same problem and that's all I did.
Check to see if your phone microphone is "muted".
If it's not muted then the only other thing I can think of is the microphone has gone dead (defective voice chip). Or possibly the transmit section has a bad component. In either case it's non-user repairable.
I hope it's under warrentee so you can take it in and have it repaired or replaced. I believe that's your only option now.

it is not muted....treied to mute it and unmute it again didn't work
I turned the phone off and on. I also tried calling my phone from a different phone; I could hear the person talking on my phone, but they couldn't hear me from the different phone. I don't know how to unmute it either.
