I fell asleep on it (I move around a lot) and when I woke up, it was EXTREMELY hot! I took the battery out and left it for a while. When I put the battery back in (it was cool by then) it was telling me that something was wrong with the phone! It said that it can download something to fix it or I can just decide to restart the phone. So I just told it to download the thing to fix it (I'm not sure what I downloaded, though) and now it's been on a screen with the android logo saying "Downloading... Do not turn off target!!" and some information at the top in small white letters. Here's what that says "[ODIN3] PRODUCT: SPH-MB40 VERSION: M840VPAMH5 CUSTOM BIANARY DOWNLOAD: NO CURRENT BIANARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM I really hope there is nothing seriously wrong with my phone. I'm scared to take the battery out of it and screw it up past fixing. Help anyone?
Use odin to reflash your rom You bricked it with a custom rom Custom roms cannot use official updates You have to manually download them and install using odin

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

It never got wet, just really hot. And will taking the battery out fix anything? Why is there something wrong with the phone in the first place- is it because it got too hot? Has anyone had this problem before? (oh, and by the way, it's a Galaxy Prevail 2 if it makes any difference at all)
