SOURCE: Problem with Panasonic Camcorder NV-DS28

From speaking to a repair centre this is a very common problem with Panasonic camcorders.
I got the impression it was a panasonic problem with a connector that needed either cleaning or replacing.
There are 2 fixes, one is cheap quick and temporary.
The other involves sending the camcorder away to be professionally repaired, it should cost the minimum fee, which was £50 in 2007.

As for the cheap version, it involved turning the camcorder off and hitting it against a copy of the yellow pages and turning on again.  This worked for long enough to record my 2nd daughters birth.

Resetting procedure is described below.Your feedback would be appreciated.Good Luck.

Always appears "Push Reset Switch"

The means that the powerup self test is not completing successfully. If there is no error indication in the viewfinder, this unit will need to see a Panasonic servicer for repair.

Hope this helps,

PUSH THE RESET SWITCH PROBLEM

hmm...maybe:
You need to know in which position was camera turned of.
So try turning it on in RECORD OR PLAY position.
It will work then...

Service manual for Panasonic Handycam NV GS15

I fixed 2 cameras with same problem "Push Reset Switch"
Removed small foreign plastic object which was jamming mechanism without stripping.
In both cases a very tiny piece of one of the broken plastic 'catch' of the door was the problem.
Turn unit upside down and give it a good shake-up and it will drop off & problem solved.
Hope this helps.

My Panasonic nv-gs75eg 3ccd digital video camera is not working.

Did you chk whethere the symptom was there in Camera mode ? If camere mode is OK and if you are getting strips in tape mode, then head cleaning may solve your problem. If it is present in camera also, You will have to check LCD hinge Unit (strip)for brokenor cracked.
