I have a 2007 Polaris 700 Sportsman EFI 4x4 I was driving it in 4 wheel drive about 25 mph and heard a grinding noise in the front end and now it will not go forward or backward on its own. It can be pushed without any problems noted and the drive shafts all turn. CV axles seem to be okay but I have concerns about the front left one? Can you help me please? Thank you very much.

This is a safety issue. Ever flew over the handlebars at 60 miles per hour because the back wheel locked up? It sounds like a serious lack of lubrication. Take the wheel assembly apart and see what is going on. If in doubt, have the dealer look at it. Any product recalls on your bike? Check it out.

Go to the site below where you can see a parts diagram for your specific bike. It looks like they have your seat in stock. You will select the actual brand, year, model, etc., once you go to the site. Part numbers and prices are also shown. You can order parts from this site. In the event no price is shown on a particular part and/or the notation "Not Available" is in the description, the part is not in stock. www.babbittsonline.com/pages/parts/viewbybrandand/parts.aspx
Also, consider contacting an upholstery shop in your area. Probably lower cost and you can customize it any way you want.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

SOURCE: I have a older Polaris ATV 4x4 - what all do I have to remove to
ahhh i had one of those was a umm Polaris Scrambler 400cc 4x4, mine came in parts kind of though but if you want to pull the whole engine i sugest taking off most of the plastics to make acess easier. then pull off the exhaust, chain covers for the 4x4 and the chain and sprockets. then your air box and carbeurator, then the belt drive from the engine to the transmition pull out the belt, pulleys and the covers. you should now have what resembles the engine and the transmition in the quad left, i think the engine bolts up on rubber stands and mainly by the belt cover, it shouldnt be much work but ounce un bolted should come out whole i think, Make sure you pull out the spark plug and all wiring.
if this doesnt help try emailing me and ill see what i can remember, [email protected]
