How do I remove a broken leaf spring?

You will need to jack up the truck by the frame on the side that has the broken spring not by the axle. Then when the tire is off the ground loosen the leaf retention bolts that hold the spring to the axle remove the broken spring and replace it. Side note have a good set of jack stands to support the vehicle while you work on replacing the broke spring never trust a jack they can give away at any time.

Plugged in not charging

There could be several things wrong. You could have a broken DC jack on your motherboard. To prove this, wiggle the DC jack with the adapter plugged in. If the charging light comes on when you wiggle the jack, then your jack is broken. You could also have a defective AC adapter.

Gateway kav60 not charging. i have to wiggle the cord and sometimes it refuses to charge.

I guess you've got a broken laptop power dc jack or power cable.

Symptoms of a broken Laptop DC power jack:

- The laptop only operates when you hold the DC power plug in a certain direction (DC jack is broken or loose).
- The laptop only runs on battery power (no power is getting through the DC jack).
- The laptop gets no power at all.
- The laptop will not charge the battery.
- The laptop switches from AC power to battery power intermittently due to a loose or broken power jack.
- The laptop suddenly shuts off.
- The DC jack may feel loose.
- Sparks come out of the back of the laptop when you insert the power plug into the DC jack.

Pedal jack not working. can it be repaired or replaced?

First verify that the pedal you are trying to use is the correct sense, either normally open as most or normally closed like Roland types. Jacks if physically broken can be replaced. Unit has to be opened and correct jack replaced or in some cases the jack has just broken loose from the solder on the board.

How to replace dc power jack for toshiba p15

Take apart laptop and see what type of jack is on your system. There are two types. one is soldered on and the other is a module that connects to the motherboard with a wire connector.

If you have a soldered on type the you will need to de-solder it from the board then solder a new one onto the board. most ac jack issue just need to resolder it unless the jack itself is broken.

I have an old compaq evn n610c. I had some problems with it for a while where I had to wiggle the power cord a little to get it to power on with the cable. That worked for a while and then one day it...

Hello,If the battery stops charging when you wiggle the power plug inside the jack, either you have a bad power adapter (test it with a voltmeter) or the power jack((DC jack)) is broken or loose.
If the power jack is broken you can replace it if you know few things about soldering;)
If the power jack is not broken but loose (not making good contact with the motherboard) you can re solder the old jack without replacing it with a new one.

Bang and Olufsen 1980s Sound System. Broken input jacks for turntable. Broken Tape deck. Local repairers say they can't repair it because no spares

You will have to pay for the labor, if it's just truly broken RCA phono jacks, you can have them replaced by any ham radio guy or electronics guy with a soldering iron. It won't look perfect, but it will work just fine if it's only the jacks and not the switching circuitry. Radio Shack even carries (carried) single RCA chassis mount jacks to fix this.

DC input jack broken

Yes it's not usually something that can be repaired at home. Your chances are better if the jack just seems loose and not actually broken, however replacing it is better. I work for a Laptop Repair Shop in NYC and we deal with this issue frequently.
