If fault is not on remote , you may need to bring down the ceiling fan and check on stuck electrical contacts and sensors to fix the problem.

Hampton Bay Brookdale ceiling fan model 761-567. Lights are not working. I have 123 volts at the light sockets but the 40w bulbs are very dim. Sometimes the lights will not come on at all.

I'm having the same issue, which is how I found your complaint. I googled the issue and your problem was the first to pop up. I have no idea how to fix it and I am wondering if you had any luck, or if you just went out and bought a new one?

Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan - remote problem

Hello Espanbauer,

KEEP in mind it could be the receiver also
(cheapest & best first guess is the REMOTE).

I get all my REMOTES from eBay...
(Although AMAZON does sell these)

Believe it or not if they are advertised as GENUINE & new
and come from ESTABLISHED sellers... You are well
protected by both eBay & PayPal
...

ALWAYS pay close attention to SHIPPING COSTS

Fan and dimmer remote does not work

The remote is a Hampton Bay remote that should dim the light and fan on and off. I replaced the battery and do not have a red light when I press the button. Light and fan does not turn off with remote.

Diminished light

When our 2-year-old niece got hold of our Hampton Bay fan remote, we learned from her actions that holding down the button that controls the upper or lower light will, after a pause, either brighten or dim that light. Our fan is older than yours, but perhaps yours works the same way?
